Northeastern University International Communities
The Northeastern family includes more than our alumni. We want to ensure our parents, students, and friends of the university feel welcome at events and gatherings around the world. We recently transformed the name of our alumni chapters to “communities,” and welcome all members of the Northeastern community to explore opportunities, events, and programs in their region.
In addition to numerous communities around the globe, Northeastern is expanding its presence in Asia. With formal groups established in Hong Kong and Singapore, Northeastern has launched communities in the following locations:
- Hong Kong
- Indonesia
- Shanghai
- Singapore
- South Korea
- Thailand
Members of the Northeastern community are invited to participate in a variety of programming including networking and cultural events, family and athletic gatherings, and community service opportunities. Empower Campaign
As Northeastern undertakes the $1.25 billion Empower Campaign, the university is working to widen its circle of influential alumni, parents, and friends across the globe. Our goal is to expand this network, and to encourage philanthropic support. In collaboration with internationally focused departments, we strive to provide international students and their families with a rich, empowering educational experience—one that will translate to a strong affinity for this exceptional institution.
